Yellow Mung Beans or Mung Dal is split and hulled version of Whole Mung beans. They are easy to prepare, need no pre-soaking and cook in just 20 minutes. Easy to digest, they are considered the best beans for the Ayurvedic diet, detoxification and healing. The delicate earthy flavor make it an excellent base for soups, stews, and Kitchari.

Ingredients

100% Organic Split Yellow Mung Beans

Made in a facility that handles dairy, sesame and tree nuts.

 Manufactured in the USA from foreign and domestic ingredients.

***Grains, beans and seeds are natural agriculture products. Despite use of modern agricultural equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse before cooking***

 

Basic Cooking Directions

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup Kazana Organic Yellow Mung Beans
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (optional)

Rinse the mung beans with cool water and drain. Add all the ingredients in a 2-quart pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender. Serve with Kazana long grain rice or any rice of your choice. Makes four servings.

Orders received after noon will be processed the next business day. Expedited orders will come with tracking so you can keep posted on the location of your package once it leaves the facility.
