MY PHILOSOPHY

As a Counselor, Coach and Ayurvedic Consultant, Sujatha approaches the therapeutic process from a holistic view point. Integration of the body, mind, and spirit is an essential expression of personal health. Many of today’s mental, physical and social illnesses stem from a lack of integration-disintegration, resulting in persons dissociated from themselves, the community and the environment. My focus is on the whole person, with special emphasis on how the mind is connected directly to the body and how a person thinks, feels and acts. Emphasis will be on wellness, with symptoms seen as calls to self-realization.

MY TREATMENT APPROACH

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance, and Mindfulness, Internal family systems with psychedelic assisted psychotherapy as treatment modalities. I take a holistic approach integrating the body, mind and spirit with consideration to social, cultural and lifestyle interactions as well as hereditary, genetic influences, belief systems, values and personal goals of each individual. I teach mindfulness relaxation breathing and meditation techniques for reducing anxiety, stress, and to alleviate depression. I utilize psychedelics with some clients to tap into inner journeys that help move through imbalances in the mind.
